There are 14 categories of essential oil constituents. We will list each category with examples of oils containing such constituents. The information below has been adapted from the Chemistry of Essential Oils by David Steward, Ph.D., which is highly recommended, and from I'aromathatherapie exactment by Pierre Franchomme and Daniel Penoel.
